My Mission

The future of  farming in America is in dire straits. I myself am 36 years old but the average age of the American farmer is 63 years old.What does this mean to you ? It means in the next few years you will be depending on other countries to feed you. Got your attention yet ? Remember the earthquake in Haiti ? Have you heard of the silent tsunami sweeping parts of Europe , Africa ,and the Caribbean to name a few ? Before the earthquake the country of  Haiti stormed the streets to try and overthrow the goverment and the people were chanting were hungry give us food.In Egypt the goverment has ordered the army to start making bread to feed the country because of a food shortage. Imagine going to the grocery store and the shelves were empty.What would you do? This country we live in has been self sufficient in providing for itself since its beginning and I for one plan on doing everything I can to keep it that way. I do not want to depend on China or Mexico to supply my food.The reason why is who knows what chemicals,fertilizers,or anything else they put in it.In my blogs you will learn how to find you foods locally.You will learn how to grow your own food whether you have land or live in an apartment.You will also learn how to can and freeze fresh food. Most of all you will be informed on the issue we as farmers in america are facing and what you can do to help.I will have a new blog up at least every two weeks sometimes every week so check back regularly.
